Lightning’s first challenge was to develop technology with performance that was equal to or better than gasoline powered
motorcycles Lightning chose direct competition as the crucible to develop and prove their technology. Lightning established their dominance by winning racing championships and setting multiple world speed records including exceeding 218 mph and becoming the world’s fastest production motorcycle.
Lightning then focused on integrating their race proven technologies into their customer products-the Lightning LS-218 and the Lightning Strike. Lightning is currently developing exciting new products for other motorcycle segments.
Lightning recognizes that charge speed has been one of the consumer’s main objections to electric motorcycle adoption. Even with widely available charging stations, slow charging still can require over an hour. Lightning has developed their Lightning-Fast Charge System which can charge a Lightning to 80% in 10 mins, more than 5 times quicker than competitors.
Lightning continues as the leader in electric motorcycle technology with 18 years of developing EV technology through ‘competition on the racetrack and in the consumer product market.
